Please allow us to introduce ourselves...

We are Ali & Cathy Ali, proud owners of the Egyptian Bazaar. After growing up in Aswan, Egypt, Ali was lucky enough to meet Cathy (guess who wrote this). Two years and many frequent flyer points later Ali and Cathy married in downtown Cairo. In 1991 after much deliberation we decide to move permanently to Australia.

After a few years we both felt we needed a change from our respective careers, so it seemed a natural progression to go ahead and do something we were both passionate about, Egypt! What started as a dream has developed into a very successful business. So to continue improving we needed to go on-line to better service our customers, many of who are scattered all around Australia. We would also like to offer our potential overseas buyers who expect nothing but the best in both service and merchandise, the chance to see the stunning array of products on offer.

All our products are imported from Egypt, most of which are handcrafted - which is a rarity these days in the western world. We source only the finest quality items and our reputation for doing so stands us in good stead with our customers.

The Egyptian Bazaar was established in 1994. From humble beginnings at a local suburban market to where we are today, firmly established in the heart of Adelaide's retail precinct.
